What is CityTour AI?
CityTour AI is a mobile app for personalized, self-guided walking tours, generated from your city, available time and interests, with an audio guide at every stop.
Which cities does CityTour AI work in?
Many cities already have ready-made tours. If yours isn't there yet, you can generate it with AI. For very small places the AI sometimes can't find enough high-quality sights, so no tour is possible and any credits used are refunded right away.
How long is a tour, and can I choose the duration?
Yes. You choose between 45, 90 or 180 minutes. The time covers the walking time plus about 5 minutes per stop and is counted from the first stop. Plan a little extra time, especially if you look at places more closely.
Does the tour start right at my location?
Not necessarily. The route is optimized around your interests and your chosen start and end point. If no relevant points of interest are found nearby, the first stop can be a bit farther away.
Can I ask the AI questions at a stop?
Yes. If you want to know more at a stop or didn't understand something, you can ask the AI about it directly.
Do tours work offline and is there an audio guide?
Yes. Owned tours can be prepared for offline use, and an AI audio guide tells the story at every stop.
How is this different from a classic guided tour?
CityTour AI is a self-guided walking tour with an audio guide: you walk at your own pace, with no group or fixed schedule, available anytime.
Do I need an account?
No, you can use the app anonymously. With an account your tours sync across multiple devices.
How reliable is the AI content?
The AI content is grounded with a web search and real sources to stay factual and avoid hallucinations, so it is mostly correct. There is no full guarantee, though: always check opening hours, access rules and local safety conditions before you go.
